Organizing for Focus with ADHD: Fall Edition

With the hectic pace of back-to-school and the approaching holidays, staying organized can be especially challenging for those with ADHD. In this newsletter, I’ll share simple, effective strategies to help create structure, reduce overwhelm, and stay on top of tasks. Whether it’s setting up visual reminders, creating designated spaces, or breaking down big projects, these tips will help keep your fall stress-free!

Break It Down: Large projects can feel overwhelming. Instead of tackling everything at once, break your tasks into small, achievable steps. This reduces stress and makes even big projects feel more manageable.

Create Visual Reminders: Out of sight, out of mind! Use tools like sticky notes, color-coded calendars, or a whiteboard to keep key tasks and deadlines visible at all times.

Set Up Zones: Creating designated areas for work, relaxation, and personal activities helps with focus and reduces distractions. For example, have a clutter-free desk for work and a separate space for relaxing.

Embrace Timers: Timers or time-blocking can be a lifesaver! Set a timer for focused work periods, followed by a short break. This encourages productivity without burnout.
