Giving Back: Our Day of Volunteering with Phoenix ToolBank

At No Mess with Missy, we believe that organizing isn’t just about creating beautiful, functional spaces—it’s also about making a difference in our community. That’s why I was thrilled to participate in a volunteer day with my fellow NAPO (National Association of Productivity & Organizing Professionals) members at the Phoenix ToolBank!

The mission? To organize their entire event rental space. The Phoenix ToolBank provides tools and resources to local nonprofits, and by ensuring their space is organized and efficient, we’re helping those organizations focus on their missions instead of searching for supplies. It was truly inspiring to see how a little organization can make such a big impact!

A Personal Note: Spending the day giving back alongside such an incredible team reminded me why I love what I do. Organizing creates clarity, focus, and opportunities for growth—whether it’s in a nonprofit’s event space or your own home.

Get Inspired to Give Back: If this story inspires you, I encourage you to explore volunteer opportunities in your own community. It’s amazing what we can accomplish together!

The Challenge:
Each day, pick just one item you no longer need and let it go. It could be something you haven’t used in ages, doesn’t bring you joy, or takes up unnecessary space.

Questions to Ask Yourself While Decluttering:

  • Do I use this regularly?

  • Does this add value to my life?

  • Am I holding onto it “just in case”?

  • Would I buy this again today?

  • Is this item worth the space it takes up?

  • Does this fit with the life I want to create?

Need Extra Help?
If decluttering feels overwhelming or you’re ready to take it to the next level, I’d love to help! Reach out to me, and we’ll work together to create a home that’s organized and stress-free.

Give the Gift of Space and Simplicity This Holiday Season

More Space & Less Stress.

A Thoughtful Gift for the Holidays!

This holiday season, instead of giving more things, consider the gift of an organized home. Physical clutter can lead to mental clutter, and adding more items to an already full space can feel overwhelming.

Recently, I watched Buy Now! The Shopping Conspiracy on Netflix, and it really hit home. The documentary dives into how marketing encourages us to buy things we don’t need, leading to homes filled with items that don’t truly serve us. It’s a cycle many of us get caught in, especially around the holidays.

An organized home is the antidote to this—creating room to breathe, simplifying daily life, and allowing time to focus on what matters most.

Whether it’s helping someone start decluttering or tackling a specific space, No Mess with Missy can make it happen!

Feeling Holiday Stress? Let Us Help You Declutter and Simplify Your Space!

The holiday season is approaching fast, and it’s easy to feel overwhelmed by the pressure to get everything done in time. Between hosting, gift shopping, and finding time for yourself, it’s a lot to juggle. Here’s how we can help you feel more in control and relaxed:

  1. Time Management: A cluttered home adds unnecessary stress when you’re trying to prepare for holiday gatherings. By organizing your space, we help you save time finding items and prepping your home, giving you more time to enjoy the season.

  2. Smart Spending: When your home is organized, you can clearly see what you already own, helping you avoid buying duplicate holiday décor or gifts. Our organizing services help you get a handle on what you need—preventing overspending and saving you money.

  3. Holiday Ready: An organized home feels welcoming, clean, and stress-free. We’ll help you declutter and create systems so your space is functional and ready for guests, making you feel more prepared to enjoy the season without the pressure.

Organizing for Focus with ADHD: Fall Edition

With the hectic pace of back-to-school and the approaching holidays, staying organized can be especially challenging for those with ADHD. In this newsletter, I’ll share simple, effective strategies to help create structure, reduce overwhelm, and stay on top of tasks. Whether it’s setting up visual reminders, creating designated spaces, or breaking down big projects, these tips will help keep your fall stress-free!

Break It Down: Large projects can feel overwhelming. Instead of tackling everything at once, break your tasks into small, achievable steps. This reduces stress and makes even big projects feel more manageable.

Create Visual Reminders: Out of sight, out of mind! Use tools like sticky notes, color-coded calendars, or a whiteboard to keep key tasks and deadlines visible at all times.

Set Up Zones: Creating designated areas for work, relaxation, and personal activities helps with focus and reduces distractions. For example, have a clutter-free desk for work and a separate space for relaxing.

Embrace Timers: Timers or time-blocking can be a lifesaver! Set a timer for focused work periods, followed by a short break. This encourages productivity without burnout.

Declutter Your Space This April!

As the weather warms up, it's time to give your home a little TLC. April is the ideal month to declutter and organize, making space for a fresh start.

Ready to simplify your surroundings and revitalize your living space? Dive into our newsletter for practical tips and inspiration to kickstart your spring cleaning journey.

From sorting through closets to tidying up your kitchen, we've got you covered with easy-to-follow strategies. Say goodbye to clutter and hello to a more organized, peaceful home.

Let's make this April the month of a clutter-free, organized home!

  1. Start with a decluttering session: Begin by going through one room at a time and getting rid of items you no longer need or use. Donate, recycle, or toss anything that's taking up unnecessary space.

  2. Create a cleaning schedule: Break down your cleaning tasks into manageable chunks and spread them out over several days or weekends. This will prevent overwhelm and help you stay on track.

  3. Focus on high-traffic areas first: Start with the areas of your home that see the most use, such as the kitchen, living room, and bathrooms. Tackling these spaces first will make a noticeable difference in your home's overall cleanliness.

  4. Don't forget about hidden spaces: Remember to clean and organize often overlooked areas like closets, cabinets, and drawers. These spaces can accumulate clutter and dust over time, so giving them some attention will make a big impact.

  5. Enlist help if needed: Spring cleaning doesn't have to be a solo endeavor. Get your family members or roommates involved, or consider hiring a professional organizer to assist you with larger projects.
